Healthy, happy children need regular access to fresh air and room to practise big movements and big voices. We have two secure outdoor play areas the children use throughout the day — both sheltered, so they can enjoy playing outside in all weather conditions.

Children are encouraged to explore nature and learn about growing flowers and vegetables — planting seeds and growing herbs and foods. Concepts learned while gardening, like composting food scraps or using gathered rainwater, help children develop a sense of responsibility for the environment.
We also visit woodlands for forest school activities such as den building, foraging and fire-making. The less-structured outdoor setting is fantastic for encouraging interaction and social skills, and offers space for relaxation, mindfulness and revival.
